In honor of my father

Lt. Steve Demeter Sr., U.S. Marine Corps

My father was born in Tarrytown in 1930 and spent his whole life here. After graduating from Fordham, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954 and stayed in the reserves until 1960.

Back home, he spent 35 years in quality control at General Motors while helping run the tavern his parents, Frank and Elizabeth, opened in 1947.

His portrait hangs on our wall today. As we head into our 80th year, we’re proud to carry on what he and his parents built.

To everyone who serves and has served: thank you, and welcome.

A note from Steve

A home away from home

Tarrytown is a charming village on the Hudson River, home to plenty of history, and we’re proud to be part of it. We’re a short trip from the area hotels and have our own parking.

We care about serving good food in a relaxed, family-friendly room: a menu of approachable, carefully made dishes, a wine and beer list, a kids menu, and 15 HD TVs for every game that matters. Big groups, small groups, all ages and private events are all welcome.

Thank you for your continuing support of our local family business.
